I remember three years ago there was a complete boom with electric scooters and also with electric bikes. So bikes have been around longer than electric scooters, but I will tell you that my dream was also to get an electric scooter. Because I don\’t have a car and I don\’t have a regular bike, so I thought that at least I wouldn\’t have to take the bus or the train to work every day in the summer. So I\’m going to use an electric scooter. I can\’t tell you how excited I was when the electric scooter came home. It arrived in the mail in about 3 days and I was thrilled to finally have it. I was the only one in my family who had an electric scooter.

And since I have a son, I figured we\’d ride two. Although of course I know that two people can\’t climb on an electric scooter at all. But what am I supposed to do when I have a young son who is five years old and can\’t ride a bike yet? My son is afraid to ride a bike, and even though it has two additional wheels, he is still afraid to ride downhill or somewhere near a car. Even my son doesn\’t want to ride his bike when it has added wheels and is on the pavement. I don\’t know how I\’m going to teach my son this, because next year I want to get an electric bike instead of an e-scooter, and I want to get my son a bigger bike too.

I will hope that my son will start to enjoy it and I will also hope that my son will stop being scared and try to ride the bike without the extra wheels. I really don\’t understand why my son is scared. If I take my niece and my nephew for example, they have been riding fast bikes normally since they were three years old, without the extra wheels. How many times have I also told my son to go try it, to try riding a bike without training wheels, but he simply won\’t. My son is just scared and says he won\’t get on it at all. And he says if I remove the training wheels on his little bike, he\’ll never get on it again. I\’m going to hope that maybe next year it will break.
